Carletha E. Griffin is a native of Jacksonville, FL and has resided in Lee County since 1994. She is a graduate of Barry University with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration and a Master of Science Degree in Human Resource Development and Administration. Ms. Griffin has over 20 years experience working with governmental entities and over 10 years experience in Human Resources Development and Administration.

Ms. Griffin is the owner of C. E. Griffin & Associates (CEGA). The company was established in November 1995 and is certified by the State of Florida Department of Management Services in helping Small, Minority and Women-Owned Business do business with local, state and federal government agencies and providing Human Resource Recruitment Services.

In 1996, Ms. Griffin was the designer of the Florida Gulf Coast University Minority/Women Business Enterprise Program and worked very closely with the University's Purchasing Division. During the year of January 2000, Ms. Griffin applied her expertise and knowledge to developing and implementing the Federal Disadvantage Business Enterprise Program for the Naples Airport Authority in an effort to assist them in receiving federally-funded dollars for the operation of the airport and utilization of Minorities, Women and Disadvantaged Businesses on projected contracts.

In 2007, Ms. Griffin began recruiting for the Fort Myers Police and Fire Department as their Human Resource Recruiter Consultant whereby she recruits in Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades counties for prospective candidates who have an interest in law enforcement or firefighting positions.
